Narrative Shorts 8 – At Last

Narrative Shorts 8 captures the fragile line between reality and imagination, faith and doubt, creation and destruction. Each film explores the moments when people and sometimes animals see their world differently for the first time.

In Caught in the Frame, the quiet rhythm of a transit hub turns surreal as commuters’ inner lives are revealed through an unreliable narrator. Exhibition follows an artist facing the death of his passion until a child rekindles his spark. Family Sunday moves through the tense underworld of Mexico City, where unpaid debts and loyalty collide on an ordinary afternoon. The Singers transforms a classic Russian tale into a haunting sing-off that connects the broken and forgotten through song.

In Rocked by the Wind, a teen’s musical dreams are tested by a typhoon and the pull of home. Uncaged dives into the mind of a young athlete caught between fame and fear. Koko Suzanne mixes realism and folklore as a girl fights to protect her grandmother from accusations of witchcraft in Kinshasa. And in Amen, pigs raised in a monastery awaken to the truth of their existence, leading to a darkly comic revolt.

Narrative Shorts 8 is a striking blend of the poetic, the political, and the deeply personal….stories that challenge what we believe about power, truth, and the imagination.
