Narrative Shorts 10 – To Be Human

Narrative Shorts 10 is a collection of powerful character-driven stories about identity, resilience, and the quiet moments when people confront who they really are.

In The Most Powerful Human On Earth, a man emerging from depression becomes consumed by a new and unnerving sense of grandeur, forcing him to question where strength truly comes from. Hide and Seek races through São Paulo’s bustling streets as two sisters circle around a deadly secret, one recording what the other is desperate to hide. Mondele follows a young Congolese teen whose dream of becoming the next Spike Lee clashes with his mother’s expectations, creating a tender portrait of ambition and belonging.

In Fly, bird fly!, a 13-year-old Afghan refugee in Germany finds freedom in dance while navigating her father’s fears and the weight of exile. WEEKEND ONE captures a single father’s struggle to stay strong for his sons as financial pressure and pride collide in their new home. Finally, INTRUDER examines paranoia and bias in a Brooklyn apartment building, where a simple act of kindness turns into quiet suspicion.

Narrative Shorts 10 weaves together stories of courage, misunderstanding, and the fragile hope that keeps people moving forward.
