Narrative Shorts 2 – Shape Shift
- 81 mins
Narrative Shorts 2 explores how relationships evolve when honesty, identity, and love collide. Each story reveals the fragile moments when connection is tested—and sometimes reborn.
In Hands, two young men relive their first night together, only to uncover a buried trauma that threatens the future they’re trying to build. elle/elle dives into the raw aftermath of a dinner party gone wrong, where a couple faces the emotional turbulence of one partner’s gender transition and both must redefine what love means. Dragfox blends realism and magic as a young person’s search for self takes an unexpected turn through a friendship with a talking fox.
Byway follows a Korean American boy attempting to break free from his abusive father, only to uncover the quiet pain that shapes his family’s silence. And in I Do Without You, an awkward reunion between former best friends spirals into comedy and confession, proving that forgiveness can be as unpredictable as love itself.
Narrative Shorts 2 is a heartfelt and unpredictable lineup that finds humor, tenderness, and truth in the messy ways people try to connect—and stay connected.
Filmmakers will be present for a post-screening Q&A.
