Join us for the second CLIMATE SUMMIT, kicking off with a FREE screening of the gripping and unexpectedly funny documentary Unless Something Goes Horribly Wrong. The film follows plant manager Dustin Price and his scrappy crew at a Portland, Maine wastewater treatment facility as they fight to keep the city clean amid aging infrastructure, forever chemicals, and a skeptical public. What begins as a look at sewage becomes a surprising story of resilience, ingenuity, and the unsung environmental heroes working behind the scenes to keep our communities healthy.
Following the film, a panel featuring representatives from the Sierra Club, Missouri Botanical Garden, and the Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District will dive into the film’s themes from a local perspective. Together, they’ll explore how cities like St. Louis are tackling similar challenges—from stormwater management and green infrastructure to public education and policy reform—and discuss what collective action can do to protect our region’s future in a changing climate.
