In a small town in Italy, a boy, Matteo, lives surrounded by coffins and illness. Faced with this daily nonsense, he dreams of dying like a hero in the ring. Thousands of kilometers away, a calf, Fandango, grows up ignoring the purpose for which it was born: to become a fighting bull and fight to death in front of thousands of people.
