Tyler and Monica are a successful, affluent couple returning home after months away on tour. Their timing couldn’t be worse because they arrive just as wildfires are raging and slowly moving closer.  Their car won’t start, there’s no food in the house, and the stress of traveling together is getting to them.  They’re trapped with each other in anything but a happy home.  And worse, while first responders are occupied, distracted, and unavailable… now a stalker is breaking into their house and turning their life into a living Hell.

When he first turns up at the door, asking for food and to use the phone, this stranger seems to be merely “sketchy,” maybe a vagrant, someone to keep an eye on and to avoid, but no real threat, especially after he appears to comply when ordered to leave. That all changes, however, when the intruder returns and forces his way into the house. He becomes violent, revealing that he is in fact a homicidal predator, bent on torture, rape, and murder.

Tyler and Monica understand they’ll have to put their grievances aside and work together if they want even the slightest chance of surviving this horrific nightmare.  Ultimately, they manage to vanquish the attacker but not before Tyler is gravely wounded, his renewed commitment to his wife apparently too little too late.
