Outside The Lines – Animation and Experimental Shorts

The Animation & Experimental program is a visually inventive and boundary-pushing collection of work from St. Louis creators who are rethinking what film can be. From hand-drawn and digital animation to abstract visuals, sound-driven explorations, and dreamlike narratives, these shorts challenge traditional storytelling and invite audiences to experience film in new ways. It’s a bold, eclectic program that celebrates risk, play, and the creative freedom found at the edges of cinema.
