Remedy And The Rhythm / Stories Are Living Things

  • 100 mins

Following the screening of director Jon Boogz’s  Remedy and the Rhythm, audiences will be invited into SALT: Stories Are Living Things—an interactive storytelling, movement, and dialogue experience facilitated by artists and filmmaker Mohsin Mohi Ud Din and Emmy award winning artists and director Jon Boogz.

Rather than ending when the credits roll, the film screening of Remedy in the Rhythm becomes a doorway into conversation, reflection, and collective experience.

Mohsin, a global storytelling artist, filmmaker, and founder of MeWe International, will guide audiences through participatory storytelling and RE-storying practices that sync storytelling to community mental health and social justice, and we will explore how memory, identity, belonging, and lived experience shape the stories we carry about ourselves and one another.

Emmy Award-winning choreographer and filmmaker Jon Boogz will bring those stories into the body through accessible movement, rhythm, and embodied reflection—inviting participants to explore what we hold, what we release, and what becomes possible when expression moves beyond words.

Together, Mohsin and Boogz create a space where film, movement, storytelling, and human connection meet.

Through guided prompts, paired and group conversations, movement exercises, and audience participation, participants will move from watching a story to examining their own:

What stories live in our bodies?
What stories have shaped how we see ourselves and each other?
What are we carrying?
What are we ready to release, reclaim, or rewrite?

Rooted in MeWe International’s community-based mental health and storytelling practice, SALT transforms the traditional post-screening discussion into a dynamic experience of rhythm, remembrance, reflection, and repair.

No performance or storytelling experience is required. Participants simply arrive as they are—and become part of the story.
