SLIFF KIDS DOC SHORTS

SLIFF KIDS DOC SHORTS introduces kids of all ages to a diverse set of topics and films they can’t see anywhere else.

Building A Dream – Following a catastrophic storm, a youth organization expands its mission to help a community in need.

Intervention – Scientists head into some of the last remaining prairies in North America to undertake the painstaking work of hand-pollinating an obscure plant that is struggling to survive in the modern world. While there, they encounter an animal who has become a mascot for prairie conservation. INTERVENTION is an ethereal nonfiction short that tracks the laborious process of conservation from the perspective of this insect pop icon.

Oh Whale – When news anchor Paul Linnman arrived in Florence OR on November 12th, 1970, he had no idea that the story he was about to tell would forever define his career. Following a small Oregon town, an exploding whale, and the man who made the story famous, Oh Whale is about how we don’t get to choose our fate, only what we make of it.
