Logline: In a near future where it literally costs money to leave the house, a burnt-out woman risks fraud when she pays her live-in boyfriend’s ‘exit toll’ to get some alone time. Synopsis: In a near-future Los Angeles, the city has implemented exit tolls requiring all residents to pay a fee to “use outside.” Peopled-out after her thankless job, Jackie insists on covering her unemployed boyfriend Greg’s exit toll to get him out of the house and give herself some much-needed alone time. With the place to herself, Jackie settles in for a night of relaxation, only to be called by Vic from the LA Exit Toll Compliance Department, who shocks her when he tells her that account-sharing is fraud.
